Indus Travel Co is tucked away in Khirki Village, right off the Press Enclave Road at S 37 A. It is a busy part of Malviya Nagar, and sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge just to find a place to park nearby. The office itself is quite modest. I have been here for a good while, and I have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We get all sorts of people walking in, from students to families who have lived in the village for generations. My day usually starts with checking emails and seeing which bookings came through overnight. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication with different agents and transport providers. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people heading towards the malls or the hospital, but inside it is mostly just the sound of the keyboard clicking. I don’t go in for anything flashy. I just have my desk, a couple of old cupboards for files, and a water cooler that makes a loud glugging sound every now and then. Sometimes I get caught up in the paperwork and forget to take a lunch break until late in the afternoon. It is hard work keeping track of everything, especially when travel rules keep changing, but I just take it one day at a time. I like being in this part of Delhi because there is always something happening right outside the door.
