Our office for Indus Heritge (I) Pvt. Ltd. is actually located inside a residential area of West Patel Nagar. We are at 2597/1, Mandir Wali Gali, and you have to ask for Mr. S K Dawar to find the right spot. It’s a quiet lane, mostly because it’s a Gali, so you don’t get the heavy truck traffic here. There is a temple nearby, so we often hear the bells and the sounds of people walking by to offer prayers. Working from a place like this feels different than a glass office block. It’s more personal and a bit more relaxed. The rooms are the size of regular bedrooms, and we’ve just put desks where the furniture used to be. It can get a bit cluttered with all the files and the printer cables running across the floor. We don’t have a receptionist sitting at the front. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up and opens the door. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it works for us. We drink a lot of tea and usually spend the afternoon catching up on emails. The light in the Gali is a bit dim in the evenings, but it’s a safe and familiar neighborhood. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just handle our business from this little corner of Patel Nagar and keep things moving.
