Indigo Airlines

We are based out in Village Chatt, which is located near the Rishikesh post office in the Jhandutta tehsil area. This is all up in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is a long way from the big city airports you might usually think about when you hear our name. Up here, things move at a much slower pace than they do in the city. Our office is a very simple setup in the village, surrounded by the hills and the quiet of the countryside. It is not the place where the planes actually take off, but it is where a lot of our local coordination and planning happens. Dealing with the 174001 pin code area means we know the local landscape and the people around here pretty well. It can be a bit of a hike to get to this office if you aren’t from around these parts. We do not have a fancy terminal or rows of shiny check-in counters here. Instead, it is just a room with some sturdy desks and people working on their computers or talking on the phone. Sometimes the mountain weather gets a bit rough, and that affects how we get things done, but we are well used to it by now. We focus on getting the local logistics sorted and helping out people from the nearby villages who have questions. It is a very practical operation for us. We show up, open the doors, and get to work.
