Indigo Airlines has its base here in Gurgaon, Haryana, zip code 122002. This part of India has grown so fast, and we are right in the thick of it. Our office is a busy place. There is always someone running to a meeting or checking a flight status on their laptop. It’s not a quiet job. We have phones ringing constantly and people trying to solve travel problems as they come up. The office itself is functional and filled with desks. We have some posters on the walls, but mostly it's just calendars and to-do lists. We don't spend a lot of time worrying about being fancy. We just need to make sure the planes are where they are supposed to be. Gurgaon gets very hot, so we’re grateful for the air conditioning during the summer. We have a lot of people working shifts, so the office never really feels empty. Even late at night, there’s someone here looking at a screen. We eat a lot of quick meals at our desks because things move so fast. It’s just the way it is in the airline business. We’ve been in this Gurgaon spot for years now and it’s become part of our daily life. It’s a lot of work but we just keep at it, day after day. We don't overthink it, we just get the job done.
