Indigo Airline

We operate out of Gurgaon, right here in Haryana with the 122001 pincode. It’s a big operation with Indigo, but at the end of the day, it’s just a bunch of us in an office trying to keep the planes moving. Gurgaon is always moving fast, and we have to keep up with the pace. We spend a lot of time on headsets talking to people at the airport. There are schedules to maintain and a thousand little things that can go wrong with a flight plan. We don’t have much time for fluff. Our desks are usually covered in memos and half-empty coffee mugs. It gets loud when things are busy. You can hear people talking about fuel prices or gate changes from the other room. We’ve been in this part of India for a long time now. The commute to the office can be a real nightmare with the traffic on the main road, but once we are here, we get straight to work. It’s not a glamorous life behind the scenes. It’s a lot of technical stuff and logistics. We try to keep the planes landing when they are supposed to. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us out and everything gets delayed. We have meetings that go on for too long, but we eventually figure things out. It’s just a group of people doing a job that never really stops, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It is a steady rhythm that we have grown used to over time.
