Indian Railway

We’ve been working out of the Railway Officer's Colony in Delhi for a long time now. The address is 110055, and it’s a pretty well-known spot if you live in this part of India. Working for the Indian Railway means there is never really a quiet day. Our office is full of old desks, piles of papers, and the constant sound of people talking. We don't have those fancy modern glass walls or anything like that. It’s a practical place for practical work. We spend our hours looking over schedules, dealing with staff rosters, and making sure the basic things are getting done. People think the railway just runs itself, but there is a lot of boring, everyday work that goes into it right here in this colony. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or marketing slogans. We just show up for our shifts and do what’s required. Sometimes the power goes out or the printers jam, and we just deal with it like anyone else. The colony itself has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the buildings. We’re just a small part of a massive system that stretches across the whole country. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s ours. We stay busy with the files and the phones, and that’s about it for us here.
