Indian Railway

This office is located at 119, Pocket 12, Sector 20 in Rohini. New Delhi is a huge city, and Rohini is one of those places that never seems to stop. We are tucked away in a quiet pocket, but you can still hear the roar of the traffic from the main road. The building is just a standard three-story structure. We handle various railway administrative tasks here. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and a whole lot of files. Some of the shelves are bowing under the weight of the records we keep. The air feels a bit heavy with the smell of old paper and dust. We have a small kitchen area where the kettle is always on. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we know each other's habits. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to do things the old-fashioned way with pens and paper. The parking outside is a nightmare, so most of us come by bus or rickshaw. It’s a functional space, nothing more. We don't have fancy decorations or a nice lobby. There is a calendar from three years ago still hanging on the back wall because nobody bothered to take it down. We just focus on the work and making sure the railway records are kept in order. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything moving.
