Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation

This particular office for the Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation is over in Mayapuri. We are located at E-32-D in the MIG Flats. It is a bit different from the huge offices you see at the main train stations. Since we are in a residential block, it feels a lot more grounded and local. We deal with the catering side of things and some of the tourism paperwork that comes through this part of New Delhi. The office is often full of folders and schedules for the trains. We have a small team here and we've all worked together for a long time. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of supplies or documents arriving at once, but we make it work. The Mayapuri area is busy with its own industries, but our little corner in the MIG flats stays relatively calm. We don't have a big public counter here for tickets, so it’s mostly just us doing the behind-the-scenes work. We make sure the food orders are right and the schedules are followed. It is honest work and we take it seriously, even if the office is just a converted flat. Sometimes we step outside for a break and talk to the neighbors. It is a very normal, everyday kind of job for us. We just focus on getting the rail services coordinated from this small home base in New Delhi-64.
