Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation

This little spot near the Shiv Mandir in Ghukna More is where we handle things for the Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation. It’s not a big station office, just a house really, H.No.786 on Street Number 7. We spend most of our mornings dealing with tickets and food orders for the trains. Ghaziabad is always noisy and crowded, so having the temple nearby is a bit of a relief when things get stressful. People stop by all the time asking about train timings or trying to get their bookings sorted out. It’s a lot of computer work and answering the same questions over and over. Sometimes the internet is slow and we just have to sit and wait. We aren’t some big fancy headquarters, just a local point for people in this part of town to get their travel stuff handled. The office is small and we’ve got posters of trains on the walls that have been there for years. We eat lunch together when we can find a quiet minute. It's a lot of paperwork and phone calls, making sure the catering side of things is actually moving like it should. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and the locals know where to find us if they need help with their journey. It’s just a regular daily grind here. We just try to keep things moving without too much trouble for the passengers. Most days are long, but we just get on with the list of tasks.
