Our office is over in Uttam Nagar, at Rz 32 in A Block of Nand Ram Park. It’s a busy neighborhood in New Delhi where everything is close together. We don’t have big ships here, obviously, since we are right in the middle of the city. This place is more about the paperwork and helping people who are looking to join up or need some information. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people heading to the metro. Inside, we keep things fairly organized, though the files do pile up sometimes. It’s a simple building, nothing too impressive to look at from the sidewalk. We have a few desks and some benches for people to sit on while they wait. My colleagues and I spend the day checking forms and talking to young folks who come in with a lot of questions. We try to be helpful and give them the straight story about what to expect. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We’ve been at this address for a while, and the locals know us pretty well. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood where we do our bit for the service. We don’t have any fancy displays, just some posters on the wall and a lot of work to get through. We just try to get everything filed correctly before we head home for the day.
