Indian Navy

Being stationed here at the T-6 office on Naraina Ring Road is a bit different from being out on a ship, obviously. This is the Indian Navy's spot in New Delhi, but it’s mostly about the logistics and the desk work from what I see every day. We spend a lot of time with files and coordinating things across different departments. The building at Nsb-2 isn't anything fancy to look at, just a solid place where the actual work gets done. There's always a bit of a rush in the mornings when everyone arrives at once. We follow the rules and keep things very orderly because that's just how it has to be in this line of work. It’s a lot of routine. Checking IDs at the gate, moving papers from one desk to another, and making sure the messages get to the right people without delay. It’s not like the movies you see. It’s just a lot of steady effort to keep things running behind the scenes. The traffic on Ring Road is always a total mess, so getting in and out of here takes forever. Inside, it's a lot quieter. We have our small coffee breaks and talk about the weather or our families. It’s a job with a lot of responsibility, but on a day-to-day basis, it's just about showing up and doing your part of the task assigned to you. We don't talk much about it; we just do it.
