We are located up in the hills at Village Bharayana, which is near Theog in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Our office is basically part of the local community here, connected to Sh. Jai Dev Sharma’s place. It is a very different vibe than working in a big city. We don't have skyscrapers or traffic jams, just the mountains and the changing weather. Most of our work for Indian Holiday involves talking to people about visiting these parts. We spend a lot of time on the phone because that’s the easiest way to stay connected when you're out in a village. The office is simple and practical. We have some old desks and a few computers that we use to keep track of everything. Sometimes when it snows or rains really hard, we have to stay home, but otherwise, we are here every day. We aren't trying to be a big corporate travel agency. We are just local folks who know the area and help people get around Shimla and Theog. We know which roads are blocked and where the best views are. It’s honest work and we like the quiet of the village. Our days are filled with simple tasks like checking bookings and talking to the local drivers. It’s a slow pace but we get the job done without any fuss. It’s just us living and working in the mountains.
