Indian Cook In Sahib-E-Alam, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi

Our kitchen and office are located at Wz-105C in Gali No. 18. This is in Santgarh, which is part of the Major Bhupinder Singh Nagar area in Tilak Nagar. It’s a very busy part of New Delhi with lots of narrow lanes and people everywhere. Indian Cook In Sahib-E-Alam is a name we are proud of because it’s about the food we handle. You can usually smell spices and onions frying if you come near our spot. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the Gali especially when deliveries are arriving. We have a small team of people who have been with us for years. The walls in our workspace are a bit stained from the steam and cooking but it shows we are actually working. We don't have a big fancy storefront. People mostly find us through word of mouth or by looking for the address in Tilak Nagar. We spend a lot of our time prepping ingredients and making sure the orders are right. The heat in the kitchen can get intense during the summer months. We drink a lot of cold water and keep the fans going at full speed. It’s a hands-on job and we don't spend much time sitting at desks. Our hands are usually busy with something. It’s a real local operation and we like the noise and the energy of the neighborhood. We just keep cooking and serving every day.
