It’s much greener and the roads are wider here. Life at this address for the Indian Army is about staying disciplined and following the schedule. We aren't a business in the traditional sense, but this is where the work happens. The building is solid and old-fashioned, built to last. There are many trees around the quarters, and you can hear birds in the morning instead of just car horns. It’s a quiet environment for the most part, though you see people in uniform moving about for their duties. We keep the surroundings clean because that’s just how it’s done here. Inside, the rooms are simple with basic furniture. Nothing is for show. We handle various tasks related to the army operations and administration from this spot. Visitors have to go through the security checks, which is standard for the Cantt area. It’s a bit of a trek to get to the main markets, so we mostly stick to the local canteen for our snacks. Working here feels different because of the history of the place. It’s not about profits or sales; it’s about the duty we have to perform every single day. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure everything is in its proper place before we head home.
