If you find yourself in Rani Bagh, you might pass by our place at Wz 742 in Rishi Nagar. We’re on the first floor. It’s a typical Delhi building, nothing too fancy, just a solid place to work. This is the Indian Airlines Reservation Deptt, but it feels more like a local neighborhood office than a big government department. We spend our days on the phones and typing into the booking system. It gets quite noisy when all the lines are busy at once. We’ve got stacks of ledgers and old folders around because some things just don’t change. The lighting in here could be better, but we’re used to it. We take our lunch breaks together and usually talk about local news or what’s happening in Rani Bagh. Rani Bagh is a great place to be because there are so many food stalls nearby. We usually grab something quick and come back to the phones.
