About Indian Airlines Call Centre – Tourism in Delhi
We are located over at 107, Canadian High Commission Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. It is a very quiet part of the city compared to other places, mostly because of all the embassies nearby. The Indian Airlines Call Centre is where we spend our shifts answering phones and dealing with flight schedules. It can get pretty tiring sitting in the same chair for eight hours, but the air conditioning usually works well enough to keep us comfortable. Most of the people working here live quite far away, so the commute on the metro or bus is a big part of the day. We have a small break area where someone usually leaves a newspaper or some snacks. Chanakyapuri is nice to walk around during lunch if it isn't too hot outside, but usually, we just stay inside. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights outside the door. It is just a workspace where we try to get through the calls as they come in one by one. Sometimes the lines are busy for hours and we barely have time to grab a glass of water. It is a regular office job with plenty of computer screens and headsets. We know the flight codes by heart now because we see them every single day. If you walk past the Canadian High Commission, you probably wouldn't even realize we are in there working away at our desks with the phones ringing.
