Indian Airlines Call Centre

The Indian Airlines Call Centre is on Street No. 4 in Laxmi Nagar. It’s at J-66, which is a busy part of Delhi. We have rows of desks with computers and headsets. It’s almost never silent here because someone is always talking to a passenger. We hear about all sorts of travel plans and problems people have with their flights. The area outside is always packed with traffic and people going to the market. Sometimes the noise from the street drifts inside. We work in shifts, so there are people here at all hours of the night and day. It’s a lot of sitting and talking. We drink a lot of tea and coffee to keep going, especially during the long night shifts. The building is just a regular office block, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have maps on the walls and some old clocks. It’s a busy environment and we have to be quick with our typing. Sometimes the systems are slow and we have to apologize to the people on the phone. Laxmi Nagar is a lively place to work, even if the commute can be a bit of a headache with the Metro and the rickshaws. We just focus on answering the calls as they come in and trying to help folks get where they are going. It can be stressful when flights are delayed but we just do our best to talk through it calmly.
