Indian Air Force

We are located over at the Officers Enclave at the Air Force Station in Palam. To be precise, our daily operations happen around Q 7, 8, and 9. It is a unique part of New Delhi because the sound of aircraft taking off and landing is just something you get used to after a couple of days. Life here follows a pretty set rhythm, which is typical for any station area. Being here in the 110010 zip code, the atmosphere is a mix of strict schedules and the kind of quiet you only find in government housing areas. The trees lining the roads around the enclave provide some real relief when the Delhi heat starts to pick up in May and June. We don’t really have a big sign out front or anything like that. It is just a place where work gets done and people live their lives. Most of us spend our mornings getting through the security gates and settling into the routine of the station. The buildings themselves have that classic look you see in older Delhi cantonment areas, with thick walls and high ceilings that help keep things a bit cooler during the summer months. Sometimes the traffic outside the station gets backed up, especially near the main road, but once you are inside the enclave, it feels like a different world. We have been in this specific spot for a while now. It is practical and serves the purpose it was built for without any extra fuss. You see the same faces every day.
