Indian Air Force

This is the COO section over at the Air Force Station in Palam. If you’ve ever been near the airport in New Delhi, you probably know the area because of all the noise. Working for the Indian Air Force isn't always like the movies; there is a whole lot of paperwork and coordination that happens in these offices. Sgt Ak Pandey and the rest of us spend most of our time staring at clipboards or coordinating movements. It gets really hot out here on the base, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the tarmac. We don’t really have a fancy "about us" page because, well, we are a military station. Our days start early, usually before the sun is even fully up, and we just get on with whatever orders are on the desk that day. It’s a lot of routine. You check the logs, talk to the various sections, and try to keep things moving without too much trouble. We’ve got people from all over the country working here in Palam, so the lunchroom is always a mix of different languages and smells. It’s a busy place and there isn't much time for sitting around. We just do our part in the bigger machine. It’s practical work, and we try to stay focused on getting the job done right so the next shift doesn't have a mess to clean up.
