We are located over in Okhla, which is one of the big industrial spots in New Delhi. The office for Indiamart Intermesh Pvt.Ltd is usually humming with the sound of people on the phone and the clicking of keyboards. We spend a lot of time trying to connect different businesses together. It’s a lot of data entry and talking to people from all over the country who are trying to sell something or buy something. Okhla is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. Our space is filled with desks and a lot of coffee mugs. We’ve been at this for a while, just trying to keep the platform running so people can find what they need. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always someone shouting across the room or a printer jamming up. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just show up, log in, and try to help people get their business sorted. The traffic getting here in the morning is usually a nightmare, but once we’re inside, we just get to work. It’s a very practical environment. We have stacks of files and a lot of sticky notes everywhere. It’s just a regular office full of people doing their best to keep up with all the inquiries that come in. It’s busy, it’s a bit messy, and it’s how we spend our days. We just hope the internet stays fast enough for us to finish the work before heading home. There are always new listings to verify.
