About India Tourism Dev. Corporation Ltd. – Tourism in Delhi
Our office is at 18-Gf in Jaipuria Enclave, which is in Kaushambi. It is right opposite the Anand Vihar ISBT, so if you have ever been to that bus stand, you have probably been near us. Being so close to the big bus terminal means it is always noisy and there is a lot of dust from the road, but it is a great spot for tourism work. We are on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to drop in. The India Tourism Development Corporation handles a lot, but this specific office in Ghaziabad is just a practical workspace. We have posters on the walls of different places in India, though some of them are getting a bit faded now. There is a lot of paper moving across the desks every day. We talk to a lot of people about travel and hotels. It is not a high-tech environment; we still use a lot of ledgers and physical files. The power cuts in this part of Ghaziabad can be a bit of a pain, but we have some backup. We just go about our business, answering questions and filling out forms. It is a bit of a walk from the main metro station, but the rickshaws are always available. It is a busy, lived-in office that feels very much like the rest of the neighborhood—hectic but functional. We try to help out whoever comes in with a question about their travel plans or local government tourism matters.
