India Times Travel is based in Mangolpuri, specifically in the U-125 section. This part of New Delhi is pretty rough around the edges and always very crowded. Our office is just a plain room with a few desks and some old computers that we’ve been using for a long time. There’s always a lot of dust because of all the traffic and work going on outside. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy furniture or a reception desk. We just have some plastic chairs for when people come in to talk about their trips. The noise from the street is constant, so we usually have to speak up a bit to be heard over the honking. We spend a lot of time on the phone, trying to sort out details and making sure everything is in order. It’s hard work and the days can be pretty long, especially when there are delays or problems to fix. Most of us who work here have lived in this part of Delhi for a long time, so we’re used to the chaos and the pace of things. We don’t really have a philosophy or a mission statement. We just show up and handle the bookings as they come. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we just try to keep things moving along. It’s just us here in Mangolpuri, doing what we can with what we have.
