Our office is tucked away on the third floor of a building in Dayanand Colony, over in Lajpat Nagar - IV. It is quite a climb if you aren't used to it, but we are used to the stairs by now. This place serves as the India News Channel, which is actually a sister concern of the Piccadily Group of Hotels. It’s an interesting mix, having news people working under the same umbrella as a hotel group, but it keeps things busy. The office gets pretty cluttered with papers and equipment everywhere. We’ve got a small team here trying to keep up with everything happening. Lajpat Nagar is always crowded, so getting to work in the morning can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit of time. It isn't a massive corporate studio like you see on TV, just a functional space where we get the job done. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations. Most of the desks are covered in old files and notes. It’s a working environment, through and through. Being part of a larger group gives us some stability, but here on the third floor, it feels like its own little world. We just keep focus on what we have to do each day and try to stay on top of the news.
