India International Trade Centre

Our place is at 1/7151, Shivaji Park, right on Street No. 4. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know it’s a real maze. We’ve been operating out of this building for quite a long time. It’s the India International Trade Centre, which sounds grand, but we’re really just a group of people working hard in a standard office. We deal with trade stuff, mostly focusing on how goods and services move. There’s a lot of talking to people from different parts of the country and sometimes from overseas. The office isn't anything special to look at. We’ve got some old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so the coolers are always running. We don’t really do any big marketing; people usually find us because they need help with trade logistics or they’ve been told we know our stuff. We're just regular workers who show up, do the job, and go home to our families. Some of us have been here since the start, and we’ve seen the street outside go from quiet to completely packed with shops and cars. It's a busy life, but it's what we know. We just keep our heads down and handle the trade business one day at a time. The tea man comes around twice a day and that's usually our favorite part of the shift. We just try to get through the day without too many hiccups.
