India Habitat Centre.

We are located at G-53 in the East Campus over at Ansari Nagar in New Delhi. Most people know the general area, but our specific spot is tucked away a bit. We spend a lot of time dealing with the different events and people that come through the centre. It’s a busy place with a lot of moving parts. Some days we are helping set up chairs for a talk, and other days we are just fixing things that broke the night before. The campus has its own way of doing things, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. It’s not always easy keeping everything running smoothly in such a big place. We have a lot of keys and a lot of different rooms to look after. The 110029 area is pretty much our second home because of how many hours we put in here. You see all sorts of people walking through the halls from all over the world. We don't really have a formal way of doing things, we just react to what is needed at the moment. It’s a mix of culture and just basic maintenance work. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up, or a light bulb goes out right before a big meeting. We just grab our kits and head over to fix it. It's a lot of walking and talking to people all day long. We just try to keep the place together for everyone else to use.
