India Habitat Centre

We are located over on M.D. Road in Sodepur, which is up in the northern part of Kolkata. Being in West Bengal, the weather can get quite sticky, but we are used to it by now. The address is 700111, and it’s a busy little area with plenty of people moving around all the time. Our building isn't anything to brag about, just a solid structure where we do our daily work. We spend a lot of time dealing with the India Habitat Centre business from here. The office is filled with the sound of fans whirring and people chatting about their tasks. We have a small corner where we keep the newspapers and a few dusty books. It’s not a polished environment with glass walls. It’s more of a place where you can see the work actually happening. The desks are covered in folders, and there’s always a pen missing when you need one. We know the local shops nearby where we get our tea and samosas in the evenings. It’s a very neighborhood-focused way of doing things. We don't have a corporate handbook or a lot of rules about how to talk. We just act like ourselves and try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the rain in Sodepur gets so heavy we can barely hear ourselves speak, but we just keep at it. It’s a real place run by real people who know the local area well.
