In Operations In A Online Travel Agency

Our office for the travel agency is in Room No-5 of the Amrit Singh Apartment, which is in F-3, Katwaria Sarai. If you’ve ever been to this part of New Delhi, you know it’s full of narrow lanes and lots of students living in small flats. Working out of an apartment building is different than a big office block. We share the space with the sounds of the neighborhood, like people cooking or kids playing outside. Inside Room 5, it’s mostly computers and desks. We handle online travel operations from here, so it’s a lot of internet work and staying on the phone. It gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Katwaria Sarai is a very busy place, and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We usually get our lunch from one of the small dhabas nearby because they are cheap and close. The apartment itself is nothing special, just a place where we can set up our gear and get the job done. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. You just come up and find us. Most of our day is spent looking at travel routes and prices on our screens. It’s a quiet kind of work in a very loud neighborhood. We’ve been here for a bit now and we’re used to the quirks of the building, like the slow elevator or the occasional power cut.
