In Madhya Pradesh Bhawan

This place is located at 28/A in Kalu Sarai which is part of the Begum Pur area near Malviya Nagar. It is a government-related building for the state of Madhya Pradesh so we have people coming and going all the time. Our daily routine involves managing the rooms and helping the guests who stay here when they are visiting Delhi. The building is quite plain and functional with long hallways and a lot of rooms that need constant upkeep. Kalu Sarai is famous for all the coaching centers so the streets are always packed with students and street food vendors. It makes the whole area very lively but also quite noisy during the day. We have a small staff who looks after the cleaning and the front desk duties. It isn't a hotel exactly but it works in a similar way for the people who are allowed to stay here. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with officials or making sure the kitchen has enough food for the day. The address is easy to find if you are familiar with Malviya Nagar but new visitors sometimes get turned around in the small lanes. We try to keep things running on time though it can be a challenge when several groups arrive at once. It’s a steady job and we like the people we meet.
