Being in Sector-2, Kalibari Marg, means we are right in the middle of everything in New Delhi. Our office at Impresario Event Management Co. India Ltd. is 2B/59, and it is usually full of folders and leftover samples from the last event we did. Planning things for people takes a lot of time and patience. We spend hours talking to vendors and making sure everyone shows up when they are supposed to. Sometimes it feels like we are just moving furniture or arguing about where a stage should go. It is not always glamorous like people think. There is a lot of sweating and carrying boxes involved. We have been at this for a while now. The office is a bit crowded because we keep too many things from past jobs that we think we might use again. You walk in and you might see some old decorations or a stack of invitation cards sitting on a chair. People come in and out all day. We try to keep things moving along. If you are looking for us, we are near the main road, but the traffic can be a nightmare during the evening hours. Most of us stay late finishing up lists and checking schedules. It is a busy life but we are used to it by now. The tea lady comes by twice a day and that is usually when we take a real break to breathe and talk about something other than work.
