Iihmr, New Delhi

Iihmr is based out of New Delhi, and right now we are using a space at the Aakanksha Working Women Hostel. It is Room No. 22 on Bhagwandas Lane near Mandi House. It is a bit of an unusual spot for an office, but it works for us. Mandi House is a great area with lots of culture and theaters around. Our room is quite small, so we have to stay organized. There are books and papers piled up on the shelves. We work on things related to health and management. It is a lot of research and writing. We often have meetings in the room or we head out to one of the nearby cafes if we need more space. It is a busy part of town so there is always something happening outside the window. The hostel has a lot of people coming and going, so it never feels lonely. We have got a small desk for the computer and another one for all the files. It can get a bit cramped when there are more than two of us in there. We do not have any fancy office equipment, just the basics like a printer that sometimes jams. We just deal with it and keep going. It is a practical setup for the stage we are at. We like being close to the center of the city and seeing the daily hustle.
