Igt

Down here at Hs No 4 in Block-B of Bhaskarnagar, things stay pretty steady for us at Igt. Guwahati is a place with its own rhythm and we just fit right into it. The office is a basic building where we spend our mornings and evenings getting through the tasks at hand. It is not the kind of place that looks like those big glass towers you see in magazines, but it works for us. We have got our desks set up and the fans going when the heat picks up in Assam. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but we just wait it out and get back to work when we can. Most of the people working here live close by so we all know the same tea stalls and local spots around the neighborhood. It feels more like a small community than just a place of employment. We handle a lot of different things throughout the day and the phone doesn't stop ringing much. It is just a regular job in a regular part of town. People stop by sometimes to ask questions or just to see what is happening. We don't have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just show up every morning, do the work that needs doing, and then head home when the sun starts to go down over Bhaskarnagar. It is a simple way to spend the day without any unnecessary complications. The rain can be heavy here but we just keep the doors shut and keep going.
