Icici

We are over at M40 Butla House in the Jamia Nagar area of Okhla. It’s a very busy part of New Delhi. If you’ve ever been to Jamia Nagar, you know the streets are narrow and there’s always something going on. Our office is right in the thick of it. We work under the Icici name here, dealing with all the daily tasks that come through the door. It’s a practical space. We don’t have fancy carpets or designer furniture. It’s just sturdy desks and computers that have seen better days. The light in the office is a bit dim in the afternoons, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. We see a lot of people walking by the window every day. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the market nearby, but you stop noticing after a week. We take our tea breaks together when we can. There’s a guy who sells snacks just outside the building, and we are regular customers there. The paperwork can be a lot sometimes, but we just take it one pile at a time. It’s not a polished corporate headquarters, it’s just a local branch where we do the work that needs doing. We’ve been in Okhla for a long time and we know the area well. It’s a good place to be if you like being where the action is.
