Icici Lombard

You can find us at House No. Old 59 in Gurgaon. This is not the part of Gurgaon with all the shiny malls and tall skyscrapers you see in the pictures. It is the older side, where the roads are a bit bumpy and things move a little slower. Being here in Haryana feels different than being in the middle of Delhi. We have our office set up inside this house, and it is a bit cramped with all the desks and chairs we have squeezed in. Icici Lombard has a lot going on, and we are just one small part of that, working away from this quiet street. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we have all learned to ignore. We get a lot of local people dropping by with their papers, asking questions about their policies. We try to help them out as best as we can, sitting across from each other with a glass of water. It is a very practical environment. There are no fancy uniforms or receptionists here. We just answer the phones and try to keep the paperwork from piling up too high. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we usually have to move the chairs around to stay in the shade. It is just a normal day-to-day life for us here in the old 122001 zip code. We do what we can.
