Our branch is located at A-15 in the Police Quarters area of Pahar Ganj. New Delhi is always a bit of a whirlwind, but Pahar Ganj is on another level entirely. It’s crowded, loud, and full of life at every hour of the day. Being right by the police quarters gives us a bit of a landmark, but the narrow lanes still make it an adventure to reach us. The office itself is a straightforward banking space. We have the counters where people come to deposit money or ask about their accounts, and the back area where the paperwork piles up. It’s not one of those shiny, new buildings you see in the suburbs. It’s an older place that has seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. The air conditioning is always running during the Delhi summers because the heat outside is just too much to handle. We deal with all sorts of people here, from local shopkeepers to folks living in the quarters nearby. It’s a lot of manual work and checking documents. Sometimes the street outside is so noisy we have to raise our voices to be heard over the traffic and the vendors. We don't have any corporate slogans plastered on the walls; we just have our schedules and the daily tasks we need to finish. It’s a gritty, real part of the city, and we are right in the middle of it all day.
