We are located at 19/4 in the Railway Colony of Kishanganj, Delhi. It’s a specific kind of place, very much tied to the history of the railways here. The office isn't in a big shopping mall or a high-rise building. It’s right there among the homes and the old trees of the colony. Because of where we are, we see a lot of the same faces every day. Many of the people who come in are railway workers or their families. We’ve grown accustomed to the sound of the trains passing nearby; it’s just part of the background noise for us now. The building is older and has that solid, utilitarian feel you find in many government-planned areas. We keep our desks tidy, but there’s always a lot of paperwork to deal with throughout the week. We don’t have fancy coffee machines; we just have a kettle and some tea bags in the back room for when we take a break. Our goal is just to handle the daily transactions and help people with their accounts without making it a big ordeal. Sometimes the lines get a bit long on paydays, and the heat in the summer can be tough, but we just keep the coolers running and keep working until the job is done. It’s a simple, honest setup. We aren't here to impress anyone with flashy decor or modern art; we’re just here to do our jobs in the community and keep the records straight for everyone.
