This Ibm location is over at 363, Prakash Mohalla in the East of Kailash area of New Delhi. It’s not the giant glass tower you might expect when you hear the name; it’s more of a local office setting in a busy neighborhood. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and dealing with technical stuff that would probably bore most people. The streets around Prakash Mohalla are narrow and always full of life, which is a big contrast to the quiet work we do inside. We’ve got computers everywhere and wires running along the floor that we sometimes trip over. It’s a practical space where we focus on getting the tasks done for the day. Being in East of Kailash means we have plenty of spots to grab a quick snack or some tea when we need a break from the monitors. The air conditioning is always humming in the background to keep the machines from getting too hot. Some days are long, especially when there’s a problem that we can’t quite figure out right away. We aren't into fancy titles or corporate talk here; we just handle the data and the hardware as it comes. It’s a steady job in a part of Delhi that never seems to sleep. We’ve been in this building for a bit, and it’s become a second home for those of us who work here daily. The tea guy comes by at four and that's usually the highlight of our afternoon.
