We are located at Flat No. 336 in the DDA Flats area of Badarpur, right on the second floor. It is pretty easy to find if you know where the Badarpur Post Office is because we are just near that. Most days start with opening up the shutters and windows to let some air in, though being on the second floor means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying heavy bags, but we have all gotten used to it by now. There is always someone coming or going in this part of New Delhi-44. Usually, you can hear the sounds from the street and the traffic while we sit here and do our work. It is not a fancy glass building or anything like that. Just a regular flat where we have set up our desks and some chairs. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit in the afternoon, so we just take a break and talk near the balcony until it comes back on. We have been in this spot for a while and the shopkeepers around here know us by face. If you are walking around the DDA flats and pass the post office, you are basically right there. It is just a practical space for us to get through the daily list of things to do. We do not have big glowing signs or anything flashy. It is just the name on the door and the address.
