Ibis Hotel, Gurgaon

I work at the Ibis Hotel office located over in Dwarka, specifically in Sector 7 at the DDA-SFS flats. It’s a bit unusual because even though the hotel name mentions Gurgaon, this particular spot in New Delhi is where we handle a lot of the back-end stuff. The office is in Pocket 2, and it feels more like a home than a corporate workplace. We have a few rooms set up with computers and phones. Most of our day is spent talking to people on the phone or responding to emails about room availability. It can get quite cramped when all of us are in the office at the same time. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s pretty quiet during the day except for the occasional vegetable vendor walking by. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything, so you have to look for 37-D to find us. It’s a plain place, but we get the work done. Sometimes we bring lunch from home and eat together in the small kitchen area. It’s not like the fancy lobby of a hotel; it’s just a place where real work happens. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know us. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized, even when the paperwork starts piling up on the desks. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need. We don't have many visitors, but we are always busy with something or other.
