Our spot is at 267, Patel Nagar, over in Hisar. It is a decent area of Haryana to be in, though it gets incredibly hot during the summer months. We are mostly focused on data processing here for HSBC, so the office is full of computers and the humming sound of cooling fans. It is not the kind of place that looks like a movie; it is just rows of desks and people concentrating on their monitors. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power fluctuates, which is just part of living in Hisar, I guess. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. The office is tucked away in Patel Nagar, so it feels a bit more like a community than a big city business district. We have been working out of this building for a while and the routine is pretty set. We show up, log in, handle the data, and head home when the sun goes down. There is a small tea stall around the corner where we usually go to get some air and a quick drink. It is a simple operation with no frills or fancy decorations on the walls. We just focus on getting the numbers right and finishing the day’s tasks. It is quiet for the most part, except for the sound of typing and the occasional phone call. Just a normal group of people working hard in Haryana.
