Hotl Rajdoot

If you go to Mehrauli, you will find us at Sai Apartment. We are specifically at Flat No.-1, Peel Khana. It’s under the care of B.K. Sinha. The place is called Hotl Rajdoot. Mehrauli is one of the oldest parts of New Delhi, and you can feel that when you walk around. Our office is inside the apartment building. It’s a bit different from a big hotel on a main road. We keep things simple here. Flat number one is on the ground level, which makes it easy for people to find us. Peel Khana has its own rhythm. We see the locals and the visitors passing by Sai Apartment all day. Inside, we have our records and a place for guests to talk to us. It’s not a flashy setup. We have basic furniture and a few ceiling fans. The walls are plain. We spend our time managing the rooms and talking to the staff. It’s a small operation. We don't have a big lobby with a fountain. It’s just an apartment where we run the business. Some days it is very quiet, and we just sit and listen to the birds outside. Other days, things are a bit more hectic with new arrivals. We take it as it comes. This is where we are, in a quiet corner of Mehrauli. The doorbell has a funny sound that everyone recognizes now. We keep a spare set of keys in a wooden box.
