Hotel Vikram Lajpatnager

Our place is actually situated in Rohini, even though the name mentions Lajpat Nagar. It’s a bit of an old name that stuck with us. We are in a residential block here in Delhi. The hotel isn't one of those massive skyscrapers. It’s more of a local building where we have rooms for guests. We spend a lot of time cleaning the rooms and making sure the bedsheets are fresh. The front desk is usually manned by one of us who knows the area well. We get travelers who are looking for a place to stay that isn't too expensive. Rohini is quite far from the airport, but it’s a good neighborhood. We have a small kitchen that makes basic meals for anyone staying over. Sometimes guests ask for directions to the metro or the local markets. We just tell them the best way to walk. It can get a bit noisy when there’s a wedding nearby, but that’s just how Delhi is. We don’t have a gym or a swimming pool. It’s just a place to sleep and have a shower. We’ve been running this for a while and have seen many people come and go. The staff is small, so we all do a bit of everything, from check-ins to fixing a leaky tap. It’s a simple business and we just try to keep things going day by day without any unnecessary complications or fancy talk.
