Hotel Uppal'S Orchid

We are over in Tilak Nagar at 1/18, and you will find us on the 2nd floor. Tilak Nagar is a very lively part of New Delhi -18, with lots of markets and people everywhere. Our place is tucked into one of the older buildings on the street. It is not a massive, sprawling hotel with a huge entrance. Instead, it is a more modest setup where we focus on the basics. Being on the second floor means we are a little bit removed from the noise of the street, but you can still hear the vendors and the cars if the windows are open. We spend a lot of our time making sure the rooms are tidy and the paperwork is sorted out. We do not have a fancy marketing department or people in uniforms. We are just a small team of local staff who know the area well. The office area has a few old desks and a lot of registers where we write everything down. Sometimes the stairs are a bit dusty, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it is a real place with a lot of heart. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers, and we often chat with them during our breaks. We do not use big words or make grand promises. We just try to provide a clean, simple place for people to stay while they are in this part of the city. It is straightforward and practical work.
