Hotel The Park, New Delhi

Our place is located right in the middle of the madness in Chandni Chowk. To find us, you have to go down Nai Sarak and then look for Patli Gali. The name 'Patli Gali' really says it all because the lane is so narrow you can barely walk through if someone is coming the other way with a big load of goods. Our building is number 4239. It’s an old structure, like most things in this part of Delhi-6, so it has that heavy feel to it. We’ve been operating Hotel The Park, New Delhi from here for quite some time. It is definitely not like those shiny new hotels you see in other parts of the city. We deal with the typical Old Delhi stuff every day—lots of noise, the smell of street food, and people everywhere. The rooms are what they are, and we try to keep things tidy, but the building shows its age. We don't have a big fancy entrance. You just walk in from the street and you're there. Most of our guests are people who are already used to the hustle of the market areas. It gets very busy during the festival seasons, and sometimes the traffic in the lanes is just impossible. We spend our days managing the guests and making sure things are running as well as they can in such a crowded spot. It’s a very local way of living and we just deal with it.
