Hotel The Park Land, East Of Kailash, New Delhi

Our main office is tucked away in Shalimar Apartment, E-15, over in Masjid Moth. It’s a residential area in South Ex-2, so it’s a bit quieter than the actual hotel location in East of Kailash. I’ve been working here for a while, and mostly I spend my time in this apartment office handling the back-end stuff. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which I actually prefer. We have files stacked up on the desks and a kitchen where we make our own coffee. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to say hello. It’s a practical setup for us because we can focus on the management side without all the noise of a hotel lobby. Managing the East of Kailash property from here takes a lot of coordination. We’re constantly on the phone with the front desk or the cleaning crew. It’s not always easy, especially when things get busy during the wedding season in Delhi. We have a small balcony where we keep some potted plants, though they don't look very healthy because we forget to water them when the phones start ringing. Being in Shalimar Apartment makes the whole operation feel more grounded. We don't have any of those corporate posters about teamwork on the walls. We just know each other’s habits and how we like our tea. It’s a practical way to run a hotel business. Most people never even see this side of things, but this is where the work happens.
