Hotel The Claridges

Hotel The Claridges is located right here in Zakir Nagar, specifically at House Number 69 on Street Number 35. If you know Okhla at all, you know these streets can be a bit of a maze, but we like it here. It’s a real neighborhood with a lot of life going on at all hours. Our building is just a regular house that we’ve set up to take in guests. It’s not like those giant glass buildings you see in other parts of New Delhi. We have people coming in and out, some staying for a night and others for longer. The staff here are mostly local guys who know the area well. We spend our time making beds, answering the door, and trying to keep the noise down so people can sleep. It isn’t always easy in a busy spot like Zakir Nagar, but we make it work. We don’t have a fancy marketing team or anything like that. We just write down bookings in our register and try to be helpful when someone asks for directions. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up or the water takes a minute to get warm, but we fix it as fast as we can. It’s a simple operation, really. We’re just regular people running a place for other regular people to stay while they are in Delhi.
