Hotel Silver Ferns

You can find us over at Makan No. 7 in Zalam Mohalla, which is part of Tughlakabad Village. It’s an old part of New Delhi, and the streets can be a little narrow and confusing if you aren’t from around here. We’re tucked in with Jai Singh’s place. It’s more of a local guesthouse feel than a big chain hotel. We have rooms for travelers who need a place to stay that isn't right in the middle of the loud city center, though Tughlakabad has its own noise too. The village vibe is very different from the rest of Delhi. You see cows in the street and kids playing outside most of the time. We keep things pretty simple. There’s a bed, a roof, and someone is usually around if you need something. It’s not fancy, and we don’t have a big lobby with a fountain. People stay here when they want to be near the old fort or if they have business in the southern part of the city. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure the water is running right. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up, but we try to fix it when we can. It’s a family-run sort of atmosphere, so things are a bit informal. We don't wear uniforms or anything like that. Just a regular house that we turned into a place for guests who need a spot to sleep for a night or two.
