Hotel Shanti Palace

Our place is located in Basant Nagar, right at 143/A. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, so there is always something going on outside our doors. We’ve been running this hotel for a while now, and we see all kinds of people coming through. Some are traveling for work and just need a bed for the night, while others are families visiting the city for a few days. The building itself is okay, we keep it clean and make sure the rooms are ready when guests show up. It’s not one of those massive luxury places you see in the movies, just a regular hotel where you can get some rest. We have staff here who help with the check-ins and carry bags up if they need to. Sometimes the lobby gets a bit crowded when a group arrives at the same time, but we manage. In the mornings, you can hear the sounds of the street waking up. We try to keep things simple and straightforward. If there’s a problem with a light or a tap, we get someone to look at it as fast as we can. It’s a lot of work keeping a hotel going every day of the week, but we are used to the rhythm of it now. People come and go, and we are just here in Basant Nagar making sure they have a spot to stay. We don't change much, we just keep the doors open.
