Hotel Shangri-La

This is our place at H.No-207A on Street Number 02 in Vaishali. We are right off the Dabri-Palam Road in New Delhi. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you are coming from the main city, but it is a good spot for people who need to be near the airport or the local markets. We aren't the big fancy hotel chain you might have heard of. We are just a local guesthouse in a residential street. It’s a house, really, that we turned into a place for travelers to sleep. Street No-02 is usually quiet, though you get the usual dogs barking at night. We have a few rooms and we try to keep them tidy for whoever shows up. My family helps out with the cleaning and making sure there is water in the tanks. We don't have a big restaurant, but there are plenty of dhabas nearby on the main road. Most people stay with us because they want something simple and cheap. It’s not about luxury here, just a bed and a roof. Sometimes the plumbing acts up because the building is older, but we fix it pretty quick. It's just a normal Delhi life here, running a small business and meeting people from different states who are just passing through. It's been like this for a few years now and we just keep going.
