Hotel Sangri-La, New Delhi

Our place is at 389/1, which is the new number 162. We are on the second floor, specifically Flat No. 7. It is in Gali No. 5, over in Serpanch Ka Bara. This part of Mandawali Fazalpur is pretty tight with houses and small businesses all mixed together. Hotel Sangri-La is the name, but we are right here in the middle of New Delhi-110092. The street outside is narrow, so you have to be careful if you’re driving. Mostly people just walk or use scooters around here. Being on the second floor means we get a little bit of a break from the noise on the ground level. The building itself is an older one, the kind where you know all the neighbors by their first names. We spend most of our time inside handling the paperwork and making sure everything is running. It isn’t a massive operation with hundreds of people, just a few of us working. The rooms are basic, and we keep things clean and functional. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit in the summer heat, but we just wait it out like everyone else in the gali. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have any shiny signs, just the address and our name. It’s where we live and work, plain and simple. We like the quiet afternoons when the market slows down a little bit.
