Hotel Samrat

If you find yourself in New Delhi, you might end up near 528-Mantola in the Paharganj area. That is where Hotel Samrat is located. It is a very busy part of town, always full of travelers and people selling things on the street. We are not a big luxury hotel with a swimming pool. It is just a simple building where we have rooms for people to stay. The lobby is quite small and the stairs can be a bit narrow if you have a lot of bags. We spend our days checking people in and making sure the sheets are clean. It is a lot of work because the dust from the Paharganj streets gets into everything. We have a few staff members who have worked here for years and they know all the best places to eat nearby. We do not have any fancy slogans or big promises. We just offer a bed and a roof. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we have a generator that kicks in eventually. It is just part of living and working in this part of New Delhi. People come from all over the world to stay at 528-Mantola. We see a lot of different faces every single day. It is an interesting life, even if it is a bit tiring sometimes. We just try to keep things simple and honest for everyone who walks through our front door.
